Vparametrics Inc. announces it is developing advanced parametric design software for the SoftSource Vdraft platform. The Vparametrics software program is targeted to manufacturers who wish to automate production drawings, sales drawings and/or numerical control drawings.
Vparametric's advanced features include spreadsheet driven drawing geometry and annotative values. Automatic multi-drawing and multi-detail output is a standard feature. Design, configuration and drafting functions can be manipulated through Windows 95/Windows NT automation tools.
Vparametrics creates AutoCAD format drawings in seconds. Master or "template" drawings are created in Vdraft simply by drawing and dimensioning with variable dimensions. A Windows based 3-D CAD engineering spreadsheet, a component of Vparametrics, is then used to "capture" and automate design rules, logic, engineering, calculations and database access.
Vparametrics is based on 10 years of development experience in the field of parametrics. Suggestions from thousands of parametric users world wide go into the development of Vparametric software. The program is due to be released in the fall of 1996 for the Vdraft platform. A runtime version of the Software will also be available for users. Vparametrics requires the Vdraft software to run.
Vibrant Graphics Ltd. and SoftSource have agreed to exchange CAD technologies for use in future releases of products form both firms. As a result, Vibrant's award winning AutoCAD drawing display list products will gain SoftSource's Internet-wide viewing capabilities for AutoCAD drawings. SoftSource will add Vibrant's fast display drivers to its Internet products as will as its soon-to-ship Vdraft CAD system.
