BROOMFIELD, Colo. - May 8, 2001 - SoftSource
Corporation, an emerging vendor of powerful client/server
applications for Smart Mobile Devices, was named the winner
of the second Venture OnStage competition, held at CIO magazine's
Perspectives conference series in Boca Raton, Fla. A cross-functional
team of CIO editorial, web and marketing staff members selected
SoftSource from a field of hundreds to compete onstage with
four other companies.
In the final competition, SoftSource CEO Rick
Brennan presented the company's vision and technology for
solving the problem of distributing, displaying, and manipulating
complex Internet data on Smart Mobile Devices. Also participating
in the competition were executives from Zaplet, Quiver, Peakstone
and Endeca. Following the presentations, the audience of leading
CIOs and business executives voted SoftSource's technology
the most promising of the five finalists.
